Corned Beef & Cabbage
I went out for dinner and drinks with A.P. on Tuesday. We usually try and get together at least once a month to catch up over a meal. However, this may one of the last times we’ll get to do that for a long time. See, A.P. is getting married in two months to a wonderful woman. He will be moving to the other side of town taking care of his new family (two children: 5yrs. & 8yrs.). He won’t have a much time for dinner and drinks with me in the future. But I’m really excited for him.
Last night me and my brother and his girl went out to mom’s for a little belated celebration of St. Patricks Day with a large meal of corned beef & cabbage. Yummy traditional Irish fair.
Other than that, life has been real boring. I’m trying to set some goals and put together a list of things I want to accomplish as well as some things just to keep me busy. The problem is I have run into a small bought of laziness recently. My apartment is a disaster area. I have three loads of dirty clothes sitting on the floor of my bedroom. My bathtub still needs to be cleaned. I’ve got parking tickets I need to contest. My car needs an oil change and air put in the tires. My guitar strings need to be changed. I still need to return Christmas gifts. I need to balance my checkbook. I need to write thank you cards to business associates. I’ve got e-mails and phone calls to return. I need to do my taxes.
Shit, I guess I had better get off my ass. But it’s so damn comfortable.

Maybe my rootin-tootin Dad will prove to be right…. spring + war = energize. I just talked two girls I work with into doing a triathlon with me this summer — we all agreed we needed to set some kind of a goal to get us through the end dregs of winter…
