Can Complain

I’m having a fucking shitty-ass day (and that’s the worst kind of ass there is). I woke up with cotton mouth and a tinge of a headache this morning and I only had one beer last night. I got to work twenty minutes late and people were looking for me (although its nice to know I’m needed). We had a huge disaster with some missing data that will set me behind probably around three days and I wont be in tomorrow to resolve things. I lost an ass-load in stock market (more than ever before) in a single day. And I have so much to do after work to prepare for this weekend of golf, parties, and weddings (of which I’m a groomsman) that I don’t know if I can get it all done. To top it off, it’s supposed to rain all weekend. Not a good day, not at all.

Getting My Sport On

It’s been a pretty active week. I’ve been swamped during work lately but getting a lot done. During the days and evenings I’ve been getting my sport on. Over the weekend, for AP’s bachelor party, I played in a golf tournament at Park Hill . It was a four-man scramble and we tied for first. I won a Park Hill baseball cap that is a little too large for me. It was a blast playing though, and definitely my best round so far this summer.

On Monday I had my last Spring League Ultimate tournament. We ended up tying that too. The team that we met in the finals had been our biggest rivals all season. The final game went well into dark and it became impossible to see the frisbee so both teams agreed to stopping at a tied score. This way we remained undefeated and they got to not lose to us again. The final League standings can be found here (I am on team Chachi).

Last night was the first game of Summer league. This league is much, much larger. We’ll never play the same team twice (there are 24 teams), and there is always couple of kegs of beer after each game. It’s a much more social league, and I’m really looking forward to another great summer season.

The Scooter

I broke one my own few rules on Friday. I broke my “no operating heavy machinery while intoxicated rule”. We started out BBQing at my brothers, then headed out to Gabor’s, a dingy hole-in-the-wall for drinks. After a night of too many depth charges (Jagermeister shots dropped in a glass of Red Bull) and beer we all decided to head home. As we headed out the door my brother says, “Hey bro check out Bran’s scooter.” I walk over and reply in admiration, “Oh wow, that is a pretty nice scooter.” Bran responds with “You guys want to take it for a spin back home”. And this is where I went wrong, “Hell yeah!”
