Weekend In One Night

A long slow boring weekend was had. Mostly cause I blew the entire weekend on a Friday night. No surprise my weekend was an extended replay of my friday night. Bang bust. My brother called me at work to let me know a friend of ours was having a birthday party and that I should come over. I went over with full intentions of staying for a couple of hours and then coming home and getting a full nights rest. That didn’t happen. I met some new people and had some decent conversations, smoked way too many cigarettes, drank out of the bottle, played tons of ping pong, and generally overindulged. Bang.

It was 6:00 AM and I was sitting on the back porch listening to this gay guy tell fabricated outragous stories about his old boyfriend when my brother came out and all but demanded I go to bed. I happily obliged. I woke up three hours later and drove home. Immediately went to sleep and didn’t wake up till 5:00 in the evening. I proceded to waste what little remained of Saturday laying on the couch flipping through channels, watching saturday night live, and eating left-overs. Bust.

Despite my sleeping all of Saturday, I proceded to sleep in till 10:30 on Sunday. I picked up my apartment, did a couple of loads of laundry, and picked out in between long bouts of lethargy spent mainly in the prone position watching the ray tube. Later in the evening I went over to my mom for some company and enchilada casarole. Which was delish and had doritos all over the top of it. We watched Pumpkin which won’t win any awards but was kinda cute, I guess that’s the word I’ll use, in a weird dark humor sort of way. As a true satire, I think I liked it, but it’s hard to tell. The soundtrack is good though and I’ve always liked Ricci.

The wife and I got a kick out of Pumpkin. I wasn’t too excited when she brought it home from B-Buster, but I ended up liking it more than she did. Enchilada casserole…mmmmmmmm…lunch is tooo far away!

I used to like Ricci when she was a kid. But now I’m no longer a fan. She reminds me of the bitchy girl next door I always avoided..

Dudes, I love Christina R., and I loved the soundtrack, but I have to go with Megan and say that that movie was

    SO DISAPOINTING

and dumb and had such great promise and premise and then just ended up

    blowing.

I overindulged a little this weekend, too, but- oh well. Sounds like a cool movie, I’ll have to check it out. My weekend was just too short. They never seem long..
