An Entire Weeks Worth Of Slack
I just got a call from my brother inviting me out for sushi. I passed him up on the offer in order to type this crap out. I better be happy with it. Though I already know it not gonna be shitjack. Cause not shitjack has happened. I took all week off work. So I got that goin’ for me, which is nice. Ok, maybe some stuff has happened.
On Monday I went into the office to finish a few things up. I spent about three hours working on my day off. I deserve a fucking raise. Then I went and bought myself a digital camera. Sort of a late birthday present. I fooled around and tested the new toy most of Monday night. It’s a really nice camera but I don’t own a computer so it’s kinda pointless. And I just found out that the computer I have at work is on the wrong operating system for the camera’s software. I guess I’ll figure it out a little bit later.
On Tuesday I spent the afternoon lazing around the apartment and pick up a little. I went over to my brothers for dinner and watched A Mighty Wind. It was funny, I really like Christopher Guest’s mocumentary stuff, but this was not nearly as good as Guffman and the all-time great Spinal Tap. I still laughed a lot though. Pandy fixed us Baked Ziti. Once again her cooking was wonderful.
On Wednesday I woke up early and headed Winter Park for my last day of skiing in 2003. The snow was in excellent powdery condition most of the day. Shin deep if you looked for it. Champagne too. The lift lines were a little long but it’s ok because I needed the rest inbetween the runs. I went solo which means I ski faster and can get more runs in. This also means I tire out quicker. I skied till my legs started to give out though. I got some great snaps with my new camera but I can’t show them to you (see above). Later that night I went over to the Freedom’s for a new year party. It was fun. Very low key. I had three too many rum & cokes, played lots of pool, and got to catch up with friends. When the ball dropped I didn’t kiss anyone and nobody kissed me. But I sure did clap real hard. I ended up passing out in the basement, on the couch, under a blanket, next to the host’s sister. I’m pretty sure I slept on her hair most of the night but we were both too drunk to notice. I felt bad cause her boyfriend froze his ass off on the on the floor on the other side of the room. Happy New Year.
On Thursday the Freedom’s fixed a bunch of us breakfast (all of us who couldn’t drive or walk home) and I stuck around and watched people play that Vice City video game for much of the afternoon. Come on, give me a break, I wasn’t even awake till almost noon. That afternoon and evening I alternated between crappy TV and my current book.
This morning I slept in once again. Fooled around my apartment, being bored and looking for stuff to do. I came into the office and read blogs all afternoon. Took a long lunch. Tried to get my camera working. And now I am currently…
