Good Riddence My Dear Friend 2004

I woke up this morning with my head at the foot of the bed. I have no idea how I ended up that way.

I was telling myself all through New Years weekend that, now that work has seemed to let up a little bit, I was going to start being more attentive to Hubsville. Not necessarily a resolution so I don’t feel bad about it. I haven’t had a smoke in two days. This I feel great about. Though I think that streak may soon come to an end.

New Years weekend was fun. Highlights included:

  • A couple of fun New Years Parties (Mostly Friends of friends)
  • Smoked Pheasant
  • Apples To Apples (this really is a fun game)
  • Lots of Champagne
  • Midnight Kisses
  • Juevos Rancheros
  • Skiing In Breckenridge
  • Getting To Visit Raylene, Grey, and India

    Lowlights included:

  • Mi Casa
  • Sleeping on the floor on New Years
  • the hangover
  • Forgetting my ski boots in Boulder

Per usual, the good by far outsmarted the bad.

We just played Apples to Apples recently. I think I need to buy it for myself. We had a lot of fun with it.

i had a chance to play apples to apples over the holidays as well. sadly, i was too hungover and it was too late. we had all been chatting and playing one-person games prior to breaking out apples. i wasn’t able to hang with that either. it was suggested that i would do well with the “walnut and piece of string” game, and that once i mastered that, i could move on to something a little more “involved”.

also, there is apparently an offshoot of apples to apples called “apple turnover”. some kind of reverse action going on, i’d imagine.

Yep, definitely some familiarness going on! Good times :)
