I headed up to Steamboat again this weekend for the annual pig roast. It’s always a blast and a great way to get out of town. Highlights and comments follow.
Strawberry Park - The park can be just as pretty at night as it is during the day, given that you have a clear view of the milkyway. It also allows for some very semi-private, yet incredibly enjoyable, skinny dipping. One only needs to hope that a moon doesn’t get in the way of your view of the stars. Nighttime also gave us an excuse to sneak in a bag of miller lights and has the extra super bonus of no children.
Freshies continues to make some good grub but doesn’t come close, flavor wise, to a freshly roasted pig. With mango chutney. And salad. And potato salad. And baked beans. And pasta salad. And a roll. And Champagne.
Flips on the trampoline while drunk = dangerous. Somehow landing on your feet, on solid ground = incredibly lucky.
Playing horseshoes can be a great way to spend an afternoon. But don’t play against two dudes who play nearly everyday. And don’t pay $10 to do it. Lesson learned.

That inflatable recliner chair thingy looks so inviting right now.
If I were there, I’d sit in it and soak my feet in the little pool.

…your name IS sean goldstein, isn’t it?
5 Satan™ Says:
Roasted pig sounds delicious right now. I think his name is Hubstein though. That makes more sense than Goldstein sillyhead.
