Denver’s own Egoist is in need of more ego(ists). If you think you have what it takes, go check out their essay contest.
#Here is a new blog entirely about the weather in Boulder.
#Without comment. Men who look like old lesbians.
#Dang! I can’t believe I didn’t know about this before now. But Cass’, the incredibly cute young thing up in Laramie, pointed me out to Prospector. Prospector is a catalog of twenty three libraries in Colorado and Wyoming. Through Prospector you have access to over 20 million books, journals, DVDs, CDs, videos and other materials held in these libraries. With a single search you can identify and borrow materials from the collections and have them delivered to your local library. It’s so easy I can’t believe it. This is gonna save tons of time and increase my library usage.
If your interested in other useful local library tools you should check out this incredibly helpful bookmarklet. It allows you to both search for and hold books books at the Denver’s Public Library straight from any Amazon.com book page. This will allow you to quickly find out if the library has the book before I purchase it.

I Am A Star, A Bright Shining Star
I’m a loser. But today I’m a winner.
I’ll start off by telling you about those that made me a winner today. They’re called “Oh Don Piano”. They’re named after this talking cat’s beautiful poetry. Oh Don Piano consists of Liz and Krista (I love the name of her blog). They’re two really funny and cool women here in Denver. They are also currently one of the few remaining survivors in the third annual Ultimate Blogger competition. Good luck girls!
As part of their competition they held a quiz that focused on blog stuff. I entered that contest. I won that contest. I haven’t decided yet if I’m happy or ashamed of my blog trivia prowess. But I do know that today I’m a winner. But I’m not writing this to brag about my winning (or am I?) but to thank Liz and Krista to for actualizing my wininngness with a prize. Yesterday in my mailbox I found this:
Thanks You Oh Don Piano, you have just provided me with an entire weeks worth of television-style entertainment and are indeed too kind. Thanks for making me feel like a star. I’m consistently surprised (oxymoron) at the generosity and well, just general fun, that the internet provides me.

Panic On The Rocks
I hit up my second Red Rocks show of the summer this last weekend. Widespread Panic did three full days there, I caught the Friday show. It was magical. The moon was out and mercury was shining brightly. Panic rocked everybody and their new guitarist, Jimmy Herring, was really really good. Though, I thought he actually soloed a little bit too much. I’m sure most would disagree with me. I don’t really feel like blathering on about the show so I’ll just go ahead and link you to a bunch of other peoples reviews.
Brownie Yer Doin’ A Heck Of A Job!
Family Style!
Cold Leftovers
Tsunami Publicity Office Diary
Mothwing Dust
Barefoot Adventures
Bathtub Gin
Stillisstillmoving.com
And if that is not enough for you, you can stream the entire show off your computer.

There was a time when they dotted the landscape in five and dime stores, bus stations, roller rinks, and amusement parks from coast to coast. In todays world of digital photography, finding an oldstyle photobooth (original chemical chemical dip & dunk botths, not the digital ones) is like finding a soda fountain shop - I can hardly avoid partaking in it’s nostalgic appeal and usually end up spending a few bucks. Photobooths in Colorado can be located at The Collective in Boulder and at Sputnik in Denver. While you’re at it, go check out the Photobooth Blog.

Artifacting Redesign
So here it is.
After much toil and trouble, Artifacting.com has a new look.
There is still a lot of work to be done. There are a ton of new features I need to implement and a lot of ideas I still have floating around in my head, but for now, this is what you get. There is a lot of new stuff going on here so click around and see what you can find and let me know what you think. I’ll be typing up a few entries discussing features you may have overlooked as well as features that are added as I implement them. In the meantime, have fun, let me know if you run into any problems or have trouble getting anything to work.
Enjoy!

14 Places To Eat is an interesting photoblog with inspiring pictures. The blog has an emphasis on “visiting small towns, festivals and other events, looking for images that relate to my memories of growing up on a farm in Walkerton, IN.” The author of the blog states the, “aim for this project is to celebrate rural life without idealizing it. Above all, I like to take a second look at things people might consider very ordinary, and try to reveal their inherent beauty and individuality.” Kay Westhues is doing a spectacular job of hitting that mark.
#The X-rated Patents Blog explores such gems as the “Penile Prosthesis With Improved Tubing Junction” and the “Internal Implement Allotropy Sexual Aid Utensil Universal-Disk”. NSFW obvs.

I would have joined Howard’s religion but the evangelicals are having much better sex.
#I’m not sure who letchikleha is, or what he is saying, but it appears he is a Russian pilot with a camera. And he takes some damn cool pictures.
