I’ve been making some changes to this site. I’ve finally switched up to the latest version of MT. I’ve added antispam stuff that hopefully should greatly reduce the amount of spam I’ve been receiving lately. I haven’t had a chance to test the comments so send me an email if you have any problems. In addition, I’ve redesigned the Annex. Although there is no longer the ability to comment on the links, there should bee a lot more links coming through. I’m still not checking my email at work but at least the emails that you send me won’t be getting lost in the sea of spam I was receiving before. Of course that’s no guarantee that I’ll be returning emails, just a guarantee that I’ll be reading them. Probably.
I’ll be making some other changes and hopefully this will lead to more entries here.
I’d hate to run into this guy in a dark alley.
One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight.
Schemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated.
We’re gonna do it!
Give us any chance, we’ll take it.
Read us any rule, we’ll break it.
We’re gonna make our dreams come true.
Doin’ it our way.
Nothin’s gonna turn us back now,
Straight ahead and on the track now.
We’re gonna make our dreams come true,
Doin’ it our way.
There is nothing we won’t try,
Never heard the word impossible.
This time there’s no stopping us.
We’re gonna do it.
On your mark, get set, and go now,
Got a dream and we just know now,
We’re gonna make that dream come true.
And we’ll do it our way, yes our way.
Make all our dreams come true,
And do it our way, yes our way,
Make all our dreams come true
For me and you.
But today you have the pleasure of viewing my weekend in a word search. Aren’t you lucky? I understand that this hardly passes the muster, it’s probably much closer to passing the mustard, but baby, it’s alls I gots. And to be honest, I think this little break I’ve taken recently has slowed my performance down. Take it or leave it I suppose. So, I guess I’ll quit rambling and go ahead and let you start wasting your time. Don’t fall asleep. Words to look for can be found in the extension. Look out below…

So the recent unemployment phase of my life was not nearly as harrowing as it could have been. But I must admit I was scared. I knew I’d survive, I have an incredible safety net of friends and family. Thank you all, your pep talks helped more than you think.
I ended up only missing one paycheck before finding work. It turns out that I do have a set of marketable skills. How applicable they are is another story, but now I know they’re at least marketable.
I’ve been at it for two weeks now. Too early to make any real judgements. But so far so good. My head is swimming and I have a lot to learn but I’m enjoying it thus far, which is good.
“Funny thing about being unemployed, the weekends don’t mean quite so much. ‘Cept you get to hang out with your working friends.” – Primus
It’s been a few weeks now. I’m having trouble filling up my time and at the same time having trouble getting motivated. It seems all too familiar. I have stuffed some fun in there though. A few nights out, a couple of days outside, and a ski trip to Utah.
I had a great weekend that consisted mostly of standing around in parks hitting golf balls, grilling hamburgers, throwing the Frisbee, and flying kites. I purchased one of those two handled stunt kites last summer and took it out for the first time yesterday.
My didgital camera broke 15 days after the expiration on it’s one year warrantee. How do they do that? So you’ll have to go without pictures of my kite. Sorry.
Good god yall’ll. Wassa Shoobidy Doobidy. Woooo. Hoohaa. Jussa lil ole quick update ta letcha knows what’ve been upta.
