Go Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies are entering into the world series for the first time ever tonight. Exciting stuff. I’ll be watching the game and cheering on the Rockies. Will you?

I too am embarrassed and a bit disgusted with how the ticket sales for the Rockies world series home games went (as many of you are). Right now there is no real way to let Rockies management know how disappointed its fans are with how the whole thing has been handled. Here is my idea: every Rockies fan boycott next seasons first nationally televised home game. Simply don’t attend. This will hurt both the Rockies managements ego and their pocketbooks. We’ll have to wait for the 2008 schedule to come out before we find out if this game will be opening day or not (if so, plans might need to be changed) but regardless, if enough people do this, it’ll let Rockies management know how upset us true Rockies fans are. What do you think? Another website to check out is Crashtober if you are interested in trying to do something about it.

In the mean time, go out and route for your favorite team!

Below is a photo I took I took while watching the Rockies win the National League Championship. Also below is a quick video I took of the scene (unfortunately my camera ran out of batteries and I only got about three seconds of video).

  1. Welcome to Artifacting Amy,

I tried to send this to you via email, but you either typed it in wrong or deliberatly gave me an incorrect address because it just bounce back.

I’m not sure I understand what you mean by “who got the tickets?” From my understanding the majority of the tickets went to season ticket holders, corporate seats, and pre-sales. Most were never up for sale to the public. The remainder of the tickets went on sale over the internet. As for “who got the tickets”, I don’t know who they are. Nobody I know personally was able to purchase tickets. Did that answer your question?

Please explain to me what your website is all about. It seems pretty passive aggressive.

  2. I was going to ask what happened with the sales, but I think you may have already answered it. Are there any more details? We don’t hear about htis stuuf up here in the Great White North.

  3. My Lady, there really aren’t very many details, and the Rockies management seems reluctant to release any. There are, however, a multitude of rumors, conspiracy theories, and shame-on-you’s.

  4. My only question was who managed to get tickets if the online ticket mechanism was not functioning. That was my only question.

I don’t remember which email address I gave you. I may have made a typo or I may have given you my school address and the school server rejected you. I entered my personal mail address this time for sure. It’s unscreened so you shouldn’t be rejected. God knows I get enough spam there.

I was just wondering who got tickets if no one could buy online.

I don’t think I’m passive aggressive. I’m a pretty direct Pennsylvania mountain girl at heart. My blog is about pandas, girls soccer, baking and embroidery. My school blog is a joint project with my seminar partner. I’m pretty tough but not passive aggressive. At least as far as I know.
