Chocolate martini: Both chocolate and liquor are good in bars, but ordering them together announces that you don’t like or appreciate either. Anyone who requests this drink should also get a T-shirt that says “I am an asshole, please take my money.”
Ugh, but Bourdain is such an asshole! Have you seen him judging on Top Chef? He’s so full of himself. Because of that, and the way he mispronounces “Les Halles” I have sworn never to give HIS restaurant money.
That sounds like something Simon Cowell would say.
Eh, to each his own. If he feels that way, obviously he shouldn’t drink them.
My motto is eat and drink what makes you happy and keep an open mind to exploring what else is out there.

I have to agree that Bourdain is an asshole and should probably be forced to wear his own t-shirt. On the other hand I also agree with almost everything he says in this article.
While I too believe people should eat & drink what makes them happy, Kath, I’m still going to totally make fun of you if you eat something gross. That’s just the way it is.

also, he’s rich, and rich people have a skewed sense of what’s real.
I loved him in the beginning. My husband and I are both restaurant lifers and when Kitchen Confidential came out, I swear we were the first people to buy it. But ugh, he’s so freaking full of himself. I find his restaurant views to be a bit narrow. Appartenly, he’s never had a proper chocolate martini. But YOU can….

That place is delicious Mr. Lady, though I have only been there when it was called “Little Russia”. The dill infused vodka, in it’s nearly frozen state, is delectable.
